Mexico City to USA Freight from the Valle de México to Texas Gateways
Mexico City to USA freight is an interior haul plus a border. COL Freight Solutions plans Tepotzotlán and Cuautitlán cargo through the northern spine—not as if CDMX sat on the Río Bravo.

Mexico City to USA freight starts in the Valle de México, not at a bridge. Parks in Tepotzotlán, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Tultitlán, Huehuetoca, and the northern industrial belt feed a long Mexican linehaul through Querétaro and San Luis Potosí before anyone sees Laredo. COL Freight Solutions coordinates FTL and LTL from those docks to Texas, the Midwest, Florida, California, and Canada as a licensed U.S. property broker working with Mexican federal capacity after the appropriate handoff.
Valle congestion, no-circulation days, and andén appointments inside the metro can burn half a day before the truck is even “on the way to the border.” Typical total transits are measured in days. Typical border release still depends on customs. Anyone selling CDMX–Dallas as a local dray is not in the same business.
The northern spine is the default truck story
Most industrial freight from the Valley of Mexico toward the U.S. climbs the corridor toward Saltillo and Nuevo Laredo, then World Trade Bridge or Colombia Solidarity. That is the same spine Monterrey uses, plus extra Mexican miles. Otay Mesa is the exception for Baja-oriented networks, not the first sketch for a Tepotzotlán DC.
Bajío plants in Querétaro, Guanajuato, and León sometimes pick up the trailer as a stop-off. That can be efficient; it can also wreck a tight CDMX pickup window. Declare stop-offs on the quote request.
- Consumer, pharmaceutical, and packaging freight out of Valley DCs
- Automotive-adjacent cube that actually belongs to a Bajío plant but bills from a CDMX office
- Air-to-truck via MEX when the shipment is urgent and the weight still fits a van after the airport
Ocean and air are not heresy from CDMX
Some cube prefers Veracruz or Lázaro Cárdenas plus U.S. port trucking, especially project cargo and certain retail seasons. Air via MEX to DFW, IAH, MIA, or LAX plus truck last mile is the expensive clock when production is down. COL does not operate ships or aircraft. We arrange the road legs and keep mode choice honest.
Documents for a capital-region exporter
Pedimento, carta porte, commercial invoice, and a packing list that survives Valle de México traffic are the minimum. U.S. AES or equivalent filing still applies on the northbound story. We are not your agente aduanal. We will not roll a truck that cannot be entered.
No COL warehouse on the Periférico. Partner storage exists when needed. Offices: Saint Petersburg, FL, and Los Gatos, CA. Phone 561-880-9808.
Volume from the capital
Shippers with a weekly CDMX–USA cadence can be reviewed for the Transportation Cost Recovery Program™. Spot exhibition or personal-effects freight is a different quote.
