IVA and customs duties are not automatically the flete. If your finance team blended them last year, unblend them before you compare transportation companies.
Why two plants on the same highway pay different fletes
Live load versus drop, appointment discipline, and whether the cargo is caja seca or plataforma. A plant that holds the driver three hours past free time is manufacturing detention. That is freight cost, and it will show up even if the “base” looked pretty.
